Bathroom supplier presses ahead with plans to become top specified new build brand

January 14, 2019

Yorkshire-based bathroom supplier Easy Bathrooms ramped up its headcount by 60% and opened 11 additional showrooms in 2018, in its plan to become the UK’s number-one specified new-build brand.

The company now has 28 showrooms across the UK, with stores launching across the South of England – including Bracknell, Chelmsford and Norwich – in 2018; boosting staff numbers to 161. The stores aid housebuilders’ ability to improve buyers’ experiences – by providing an inspirational showroom for them to browse and make their bathroom choices.

Further growth is planned for 2019, with an additional 10 stores set to open their doors over the next 12 months, including locations across Hayes, Swindon, Milton Keynes and Cheltenham. The expansion will be bolstered 45 new staff members.

Commenting on the growth to date, and ambitious plans over the next 12 months, Lauren Fealy, operations manager, said: “We have our sights firmly set on our future – we’re excited for what that holds. We’re a dynamic company, we’re always growing and evolving.”

In 2018, the firm added an extra 380 products to its range of bathrooms and tiles, including a selection of matte black taps, showers and accessories.Bathroom supplier presses ahead with plans to become top specified new build brand

“It’s important to us that we increase choice and keep our finger on the pulse when it comes to trends,” continued Lauren. “The housing market is looking positive, despite Brexit, so we’ll continue to improve our service offering, while remaining affordable.”

At its Leeds headquarters, the organisation has taken on four new team members since the start of December, to support numerous areas of the business. Leanne Wetherill has joined as ecommerce assistant; Louise Gallagher has taken up post as credit controller; Chris Pall – formerly of Haus Direct – joins as graphic designer; and Darren Waddington has come on board as warehouse manager.
