Looking to gain new skills? 100 training rewards are now up for grabs.

January 16, 2017

Plumbing and heating engineers are being encouraged to gain new skills through a new reward scheme.
The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors (Training) Ltd., has 100 training rewards worth £150 each to give away to plumbing and heating companies.

The registered educational charity and sister company to the Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC), says its aim is to help safeguard the long term professional development of the industry by incentivising plumbing and heating engineers to update and expand their knowledge.
The reward can be used for a certificated course with a recognised training provider such as APHC, BPEC, City and Guilds and all UKAS approved ACS providers.

Graeme Dryden, Technical Services Manager at APHC said: “The £150 reward is available to all plumbing and heating companies in England and Wales regardless of whether they are a member of APHC.
“The reward can be used by companies to help employee development through a wide range of topics from building regulations to gas accreditation to renewable technologies and water regulations. A detailed breakdown of qualifying courses can be found on our website.”

Under the scheme, 25 training rewards will be available to claim each quarter and will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis.
“I would urge interested companies to apply without delay as in previous years uptake has been high”, Mr Dryden added.
In order to receive the reward companies are required to send a copy of the training course invoice along with the successful course completion certificate to APHC who will then pay for the cost of the course, up to £150, into the employer’s business bank account.

Further information on the training reward scheme, including APHC’s 2017 programme of one-day plumbing and heating training courses, can be found at www.aphc.co.uk/training_information.asp
