Market Harborough-based boiler and heating leads specialist Holmes Media has announced it has changed its name to Boiler Guide following a strategic decision to concentrate its efforts predominantly on the heating industry.
Based at The Point in the Leicestershire town, Boiler Guide helps tradespeople across the UK to access a supply of customers who are looking to replace or repair their boiler through its website and allows homeowners and tenants to find reputable, local and quality help. The company already works with more than 3,000 accredited Gas Safe Registered engineers across the country, and through its leads, installed 26,000 boilers in 2019.
The business, which also has a sister website dedicated to solar power installation, has decided to focus more of its efforts and resource towards Boiler Guide, which has just experienced a record year of growth; receiving more than three million website visits from UK users in 2019, up 65% on the year previously, and amounting to a 75% rise in enquiries.
The decision also ties in with the change in focus of the heating industry as a whole, with the company wanting to help more homeowners transition to lower carbon solutions such as a more efficient boiler or alternatives such as hydrogen boilers, heat pumps and solar PV.
Commenting on the decision, Founder of Boiler Guide, David Holmes, said:
“Following the marked rise in demand for Boiler Guide and the increased focus on the site as a business it made complete sense to ensure both the trade and consumer facing arms of the business were fully aligned.
“We are already witnessing a clear shift in consumer habits with more homeowners than ever before now considering more eco-friendly solutions to heat their home and we want to help users to make more informed decisions through the content we host on our website as well as pointing them in the direction of local quality tradespeople.

For existing customers there will be little change to the enquiries process, but partner tradespeople for both heating and solar will be greeted with a new trade area on the Boiler Guide website to replace the gap left by Holmes Media.
